De Gouden Hoek

De Gouden Hoek has a slightly different approach to the concept of a seafood restaurant. At De Gouden Hoek in Spaarndammerbuurt you won’t find any tuna, salmon or sole on the menu. Instead, they offer simple and original fish platters of ‘bycatch’. The dishes are well priced and very tasty. Try the salad with smoked mackerel, roasted beetroot and almond or the bisque of Oosterschelde beach crabs. Or go for the traditional fish-and-chips.

De Gouden Hoek

Fish Cafe de Gouden Hoek in West at the Van Limburg Stirumplein serves fresh fish and seafood dishes. A must try is the fish & chips with a beer or soda, perfect for lunch or diner. In the mood for something more fancy? Glance over the menu and find their mor refined dishes and ask your waiter for a wine that will compliment the dishes you chose.

The restaurant is cool, modern but also intimate with a hint of seventies. The waiters are friendly and professional and the kitchen is open so you can peek inside and see the chefs at work. These chefs serve up fish croquettes, filled crab and a mixed fired platter. The must-try fish and chips comes in three variances, beer batter, tempura batter or a special Japanese batter. They serve them with the thinnest and tastiest fries in the city.
