Back in 2013, top chef Ron Blaauw became the talk of the town after turning his luxury Michelin-starred restaurant on Amsterdam’s Sophialaan into his first gastrobar, a concept that made exceptional cuisine available for every budget. At Ron Gastrobar, just about anything goes, whether that be savouring only one of the many artfully prepared dishes (€15 each), or going all out with several of the restaurant’s creations accompanied by a stunning wine selection. The concept caught on so well that soon three other gastrobars would follow.
