Peejays

Peejays is your go-to doughnut place in the city. The story of these beautiful hand-made doughnuts started many years ago. A father and two sons fell in love with the North American doughnut. The Netherlands had no such thing as a “home made doughnut” back then, all that was sold here where factory-made doughnuts. So what do you then? Open your own shop of course! And that is how Peejays was born. We included Peejays in our best Breakfast hotspots in Amsterdam list.

Now everyone can enjoy their artisan doughnuts and mini “doughies” (donut holes) with a great cup of coffee to start their day. Our personal favorites must be the Boston Cream or the Golden Prosecco, but honestly whichever one you choose they are all going to be very good and very sweet!

You can find Peejays in the Vijzelstraat (connecting De Pijp with the Canal District), only a short walk from the Heineken Experience or Photography Museum Foam.
