
The Museum Quarter Amsterdam is home to a great variety of luxury brands and designer labels, besides that it is also home to the biggest museums in the city. In the PC Hooftstraat and Van Baerlestraat you’ll find exclusive fashion, jewelry and shoe shops. And don´t forget about the Museum Square, that area is home to world famous museums such as Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum and The Royal Concertgebouw. A day in the Museum Quarter Amsterdam
Start the day off by exploring the beautiful Vondelpark, only a short walk from the Museum Square. This park is famous in Amsterdam, year round you can find runners and other outdoor enthusiasts working out in this green oasis. And as soon as the first sun rays hit the city in spring or summer, locals flock to the park to enjoy the sun with a BBQ, picknick or with a good bottle of wine. Don´t forget to bring something to sit on, relaxing in this park is mostly done in the grass! Besides that the Vondelpark has an open air theater that is mostly used in summer and you can go to the Blauwe Theehuis or Vondelpark3 for a drink and a quick bite.
After a stroll through the park you can check out the P.C. Hooftstraat, this is the most luxurious shopping street in the city. Here you can shop till you drop at all the famous designer shops. After that you follow the impressive Van Baerlestraat to the Museum Square, along this street you find beautiful shops, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a small break. Don’t forget to pop into the Conservatorium hotel, here they have a fantastic lobby with a bar, restaurant and some great shops for jewelry and skincare.
