It is produced by a cooperative of 600 dairy farmers, which has existed for over 100 years and is acknowledged by Royal decree as an outstanding part of Dutch heritage. Amsterdam Gold is available in different ripening times, from 4 months (young cheese) to 36 months (extra old).
