Mono Japan
From 1 to 3 February the Lloyd Hotel & Culturele Ambassade will give Japanese design professionals a platform to showcase their amazing works. At MONO Japan you’ll find contemporary craft and design, from food to textiles and ceramics. The event gives visitors and the craftsmen a chance to meet and exchange ideas. Expect workshops in Japanese crafts, lectures and brands presenting their works to Amsterdam’s design loving public!
Little Italy Taste & Travel
Lovers of the Italian cuisine and culture, we have something special for you! This weekend, the Westergasfabriek will transform into Little Italy Taste & Travel festival. Expect a journey to the land of good food and wines with special tastings, wine and cooking workshops, a food market and even lectures on Italian dining culture! There will be lots of food, live music and inspiration for any upcoming holiday to Italy. Tickets and the full program are available on their website.

Exhibition: Rembrandt’s Social Network
To celebrate the beginning of Rembrandt Year 2019, 350 years after the world famous painters death, the Rembrandt House Museum will open their new exhibition Rembrandt’s Social Network. Dive deeper into the artists work with their incredible collection of etchings and paintings. This particular exhibition focuses on Rembrandt’s relationships and the role they had it his life. From his wife and other family to his friends and fellow creatives. The large number of paintings, drawings and prints, include works that have never or rarely been seen!

Shanghai Bistro Closing Party
One of Amsterdam’s favorite street food style restaurants is moving and they are celebrating this big move with a closing party on Friday 1 & Saturday 2 February. They do this with a special Dim Sum & Bao Bun menu for just €29, including a welcome cocktail. Or if you’re up for some dancing, their midnight party is your go to. Cool Japan Design Weekend
Cool Japan is an exhibition at the Tropenmuseum Amsterdam, dedicated to the fascinating Japanese culture. During Cool Japan Design Weekend designers from both Japan and the Netherlands come together. Expect there to be lectures on design, special guided tours to understand more about the mutual admiration between the design countries and lots of workshops. You can customize a special unisex Cool Japan Suit with Dutch fashion designers Bonne Suits and Sebastian Masuda Official or personalize a kimono with Lisa Konno. Terug Naar Toen X Ch!pz
Remember CH!PZ?! On Saturday February 2nd, one of Amsterdam’s hottest club nights Terug Naar Toen (Back to then) invites the popular pop group from almost 20 years ago back to the stage. Expect an evening of local DJ’s blasting classics and guilty pleasures through the speakers, and, a live performance by Ch!pz. Super Bowl Sunday in Amsterdam
The Super Bowl is one of the biggest sports events in the world and this Sunday it’s time for the Super Bowl LIII! During this game of American Football teams New England Patriots will go up against the Los Angeles Rams. We’ve gathered the best places in Amsterdam where they will be showing the game, so you don’t have to miss out on this sport spectacle!

Hard Rock Café Amsterdam: Super Bowl Sunday American Style
Of course, the Hard Rock Cafe Amsterdam should be on this list. From 11:00 p.m. on they will host their annual ‘Big Game’ of the year event with a spectacular Cheerleader show when the doors open. For this night you’ll have a choice between self table seating, where the rules are first in first served, or a VIP package for €75 per person. You’ll get Hard Rock Cafe Famous Legendary Burger with fries, unlimited draft Heineken beer, house wine and soda (before midnight). After midnight there will be unlimited hot dog’s and popcorn. The Aussie style sports bar Coco’s Outback is located in the center of Amsterdam on Rembrandt Square. This is the perfect spot to watch the game on one of their 30 screens! Sunday Market Valentines Edition
On February 3rd the Sunday Market will make a tribute to the day of love. The Valentines edition of this local market will be held at the Westergasfabriek on the west part of town. Gather the family, friends or any other loved ones and enjoy a day browsing numerous stands filled with fashion, design and art. Find a unique piece of locally designed jewelry or let someone draft you up a romantic Valentines poem. Kids will have a fun time with the many activities and live performances taking place and there is enough tasty food & beverages to get you through the afternoon!
