Dance the night away at Amsterdam Dance Festival (ADE)
From Wednesday until Sunday (actually Monday morning) the city will turn into one big party with over 2.500 artists, 140 of the most iconic venues in Amsterdam an all of the biggest names in electronic dance music. Amsterdam Dance Festival 2018 promises to be the best edition to this date. A five days day & night program filled with events, conferences, workshops and parties. Best of the Decade Menu at Momo Restaurant, Bar & Lounge
Momo Restaurant & Bar opened 10 years ago and has been a household name in Amsterdam when it comes to Japanese cuisine ever since. To celebrate this milestone, Momo temporarily brings back ten of their most memorable dishes from over the years to their menu. The Best of the decade menu will only be available in the month October. In addition to the dishes the bartenders created some matching old-school cocktails to go with that. Don’t miss out on this one!
Friday and Saturday 19-20 October: Plant Bathing Studio
Immerse yourself in the green at the Plant Bathing Studio pop-up store. For 1 euro you get the chance to spend 5 minutes in a peaceful green space in the mids of the city. Plants are known to not only be good for your mindset but for your resistance and immune system as well. They reduce stress and give energy. Plant Bathing is a new wellness trend from Japan. They call it ‘Shinrin-yoku’ and literally means ‘bathing in the forest’. The idea behind this is that you slow down and consciously open your senses by immersing yourself in the green.

Hip Hop Brunch at Cut Throat
While Amsterdam Dance Event is all about EDM music, Cut Throat decided to do it a little different with their Hip Hop Brunch. From Wednesday 17 October until Sunday 21 October the barbershop slash brunch hotspot brings you the tastiest dishes while a DJ plays the best urban records for you. Enjoy a hangover brunch with food specials like Huevos Rancheros and Pancakes or get ready for a day out with Chicken n Waffles and a Bloody Mary.

Summer on your plate at Esther’s Cookery
Dinner with drinks for just €12,50 per person on a Saturday night? Esther’s Cookery is a vegetarian cooking studio offering workshops and dinners in the heart of the Pijp district. Everyone revolves around contemporary food using pure and sustainable products. Authenticity and originality is the common thread in all they do. With the winter coming up they decided it is the perfect occasion for one last summer meal. Every hour there’s place for 25 people, so make sure to reserve your spot beforehand via the website.

An active Saturday afternoon with Amsterdam Paddle
Want to explore Amsterdam in a less usual way and don’t mind being active while doing it? Join in on the fun with Amsterdam Paddle on Saturday 20 October. The tour through the beautiful Amstedam canals will take about 2 hours and for is for experienced paddlers. Make sure you dress well as it can be chilly and water is getting colder with winter coming up. Amsterdam Paddle can provide all the gear you need and will take you for a drink after the tour. The Rembrandt Art Market at De Hallen
The Rembrandt Art Market usually takes place at Rembrandt Square but this Sunday they will welcome you at De Hallen in Amsterdam West. At this market artists of all disciplines have a chance to exhibit and sell their work. Visitors have the opportunity to talk to the artists and have them tell you all about their work before making a purchase.

A lazy Sunday with champagne and oysters at Restaurant Moer
Sundays are for relaxation, drinks and good food. Restaurant Moer understands this and bring you their catch of the day for just 1 euro: Oysters. Combine these sea pearls with a delicious organic glass of champagne for €5 per glass. To make your afternoon or evening complete they have a live band playing jazz music on the background. So all you have to do is sit back and enjoy your lazy Sunday.
