It’s not Christmas just yet
Not ready for all that Christmas stuff yet? There’s lots more to do in Amsterdam this weekend!
For a fun night out with friends we suggest you to head over to the Ton Ton Club for some oldskool arcade game fun. They serve a wide variety of beverages, bar food and don’t close until well after midnight. Duke of Tokyo is another one to mention. The amazing interior of this karaoke bar will have you feel like you’re in the streets of Tokyo for the night. Get yourself a cocktail, some of their delicious bar bites and head on to one of the karaoke boots to get your inner super star out. After a certain time, the bar turns into a vibrant club, so no need to go home early.
Rather have a relaxing evening of wining and dining? Choose one of the restaurants from our 18 best restaurants in Amsterdam guide. French cuisine at Rijsel, Italian delights at Toscanini, Michelin Star dishes at Liberije’s Zusje or authentic Dutch winter food at Haesje Claes. They’re in our guide because they all serve mouthwatering dishes prepared with quality ingredients and care. So whichever one you go for, you’ll be in for a treat!
If you’re looking for a spot specialized in wines, we have some good news for you: The 15 finalists for the Dutch ‘Winebar of the Year Awards’ have recently been announced and three of them are located in Amsterdam. Head over to 4850, Winebar Paskamer or Shiraz for some of the best wines in town.
Cultural Sunday at De Hallen: Flamenco
Ready for some warm vibes during these cold December days? Cultural Sunday will bring the heat to De Hallen on Sunday 9 December with their Flamenco edition. There will be lots of live music, performances by professional dancers and workshops for all those who want to learn. The program also includes something really special: a small preview of the Flamenco Biënnale 2019. This concert by Dutch guitarist Peter Kalb ‘el Periquín’ is a tribute to the king of pop Michael Jackson. In between all the entertainment you can stroll along the market stands and have a drink and a bite. This promises to be a fun afternoon out for all ages!
Hannie Dankbaarpassage 47 – 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Last but certainly not least; the weekend isn’t a proper weekend if there is no brunch involved. Two new favorites in town for breakfast or lunch are Superette (try their bagels) and Hoed & Krelis (French Toast). We hope you enjoy all the city has to offer using our Amsterdam Weekend Guide.
