Bas Kosters, fabric art and drawings in OSCAM

At the beginning of June Bas Kosters new exposition “Tears are the glitter of life” opened in OSCAM, this colorful exposition will be on display until the 31^st of July. The exposition consist out of beautiful fabric art and drawings from one of the leading fashion designers in the country.

About the exposition

The fabric art is made out of multiple layers of fabric, Kosters has cut various colorful figures from fabric and has incorporated them in his artwork. With him, no little piece of fabric goes to waste. In the art pieces you can find cotton, wool and even silk all put together in animal and human like figures. His work is more than just colorful rugs on the wall, he wants to celebrate the value of material that others might throw away. This can be seen as an active protest to our wasteful society.

This exposition is free to visit. On the 14^th of July there is a free tour and workshop from 13:00 until 16:00.
