Braai

Anyone who ever visited South Africa might know of the typical braai barbeque. Instead of cooking at home, people gather and prepare food on open fire. Restaurant Braai has taken this concept to Amsterdam and gave it their own twist. It’s a place to meet, talk and enjoy good food in the company of friends and family.

At Braai Amsterdam they don’t have a typical South African kitchen. Instead they use barbecue and grilling techniques from all over the world to prepare their food. On the menu you’ll find an array of delicious meat dishes with some vegetarian options as well. When going there definitely do not miss out on the Pork Belly (18hs) and the Ribs from the Texas Smoker. If you want it all,  which you probably will, choose one of the platters with a mix of different dishes. Have the triple fried fries and a classic coleslaw with that and it’ll be the perfect meal for any meat lover.

Braai has two locations: on the South part of town and near the Westerpark.
