Café Cliché

In for a culinary evening but don’t want to spend too much? Café Cliché is the new place to go. A laid-back culinary living room, where everyone can be themselves. That’s how they describe themselves and that is exactly what you’ll get. It’s a place for any occasion. Whether you’re having a relaxed Sunday afternoon or have something special to celebrate.  Good food, good service, good portions, it almost sounds cliché.

Michelin star head chef at Cafe Cliché

Having worked at several Michelin star restaurants, including 3-star restaurant Liberije, head chef Sidney Schutte incorporates all the knowledge and inspiration he gained over the years in the menu at Café Cliché. It has become a culinary living room where you can enjoy a dinner like the chef does at home. Carefully chosen ingredients and classic dishes with a twist. Fun fact: He’s currently also working as chef at Liberije’s Zusje.

The open kitchen, lounge sofas and warm atmosphere create a wonderful living room feeling. The menu offers brasserie style dishes without fuss. Whether you’re a carnivore, a veggy lover or craving seafood, they have choses for all. The main course is yours and the side dishes like fresh vegetables, pastas and potatoes are to share (or not).

During the week Café Cliché is open for dinner and drinks but on Sunday you can go there for lunch as well. They don’t take reservations, unless you’re with a group of 8 or more. So just drop in and be prepared for a relaxing time with good food.
