Café de Walvis

Café De Walvis is a neighborhood café and restaurant exactly how one is supposed to be. A local hang-out with proper food, good beverages and ever so friendly personnel. They organize monthly pub quizzes, show all Ajax soccer games live on a big screen and host special themed evenings throughout the week. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks until well after midnight, Café de Walvis is a spot to both start and end your day at.

The menu offers a selection of very well priced international and traditional Dutch dishes. Soups, BLT Sandwiches or eggs on toast are just a few of the options for breakfast or lunch. Want to go Dutch? Try the sandwich with Hagelslag (chocolate flakes) or a pancake with syrup topped with cheese and bacon. Delicious! At night the Holy Ravioli and the Classic Burger are two favorites off the menu. And if you have some room left for dessert, ask for their daily chancing pies, that come with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Theme nights at Café de Walvis

On Mondays Walvis is your place to be for a good start of the week. Three craft beers of the tap for just €8,50!
