
In the posh southern part of Amsterdam, charming Café Waldeck has opened its doors. The owners, who are also behind the hugely popular George W.P.A a few blocks down the road, have created a simple pub-style place to enjoy a few drinks and a quick meal. Although the art deco inspired interior is reminiscent of Paris, the food definitely is no-nonsense Dutch ‘eetcafé’ fare: steak tartare, Indonesian chicken sate, hamburger with fries and veal croquettes.
