
If you are planning to visit Amsterdam in the summertime, make sure you catch the magnificent Grachtenfestival (Canal Festival). The historic city centre of Amsterdam, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2010, hosts the tenday classical music festival at numerous unique locations. The festival ends with a classical concert on the Prinsengracht. People on boats gather around the stage in the water with drinks and snacks to enjoy the performances.
