Located just behind De Nieuwe Kerk on Dam square you will find Amesterdam’s oldest proeflokaal, dating from 1650. The interior has hardly changed since then, and feels like you’re standing next to Rembrandt and Michiel de Ruyter drinking a kopstootje. Amazing little bar packed with history, and make sure to taste their famous ‘Boswandeling’-liqueur besides their broad selection of genever.
