De Kas, which means ‘greenhouse’ in Dutch, is a restaurant situated in a beautiful glass house. One half is used as a restaurant & bar, and the other works as a place to grow fruit and vegetables. The breathtaking dining room is situated in Frankendael Park between nineteenth century facades and is an oasis of calm. On sunny summer days, lunch and drinks are served outside in the herb garden.
Since food tastes best when it is prepared using fresh local ingredients, they grow our own herbs and vegetables. The daily changing menu with small dishes is created based on the harvest of the nursery. Fresh local vegetables play an important role, with seafood and organic meat from local suppliers. Choose between a 3 or 4 course lunch or 5 or 6 course dinner with light and exciting flavors. For vegetarians, the chef is more than happy to prepare a special menu!
