Exhibition: Feast for the Eyes at FOAM Museum

The story of food in photography

On Thursday 20 December FOAM Photography Museum will open their new exhibition: Feast for the Eyes. The works show the rich history of food in photography. Not just in visual arts but in photojournalism, scientific photography and all things commercial as well. Expect works from breakfast to roadside restaurants and from old cookbooks to 19th century food displays. This promises to be an interesting and eye pleasing exposition!

At Feast for the Eyes visitors will be taken on a journey through food photography by the use of three themes. Still Life takes inspiration from the popular painting genre, while Around the Table gives a view on rituals that take place around food, with that highlighting different cultures. The Third theme, Playing with Food, revolves around humor and irony. And to complete the exhibition a number of cookbooks in all genres will be on display.
