On 10 and 11 September 2016 the Heritage Day (Open Monumentendag) will be held. During this cultural event the most beautiful and impressive homes, offices and highlights of the Dutch industrial heritage are open to the public. If you take part in this year’s Heritage Day, there’s a good chance that you will visit one of the designs of the Amsterdam School. This year’s event marks the 100-year anniversary of the development of the famous the Amsterdam School architectural style. In the lead-up to Heritage Day, the most prominent buildings of the Amsterdam School will open this spring their doors on the second Sunday of every month.
