Hortus by Night

The Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam invites you to their unique Hortus by Night evenings. The botanical gardens have longer opening hours, so everyone can enjoy their magically lit garden, a winter terrace with campfire and glühwein. As soon as the night falls, a special illuminated path will show you the way into the gardens. Go out exploring on your own or book a tour to learn more about the botanical garden by night!

Experience the magic of Hortus by night

For everyone who wants to have the full botanical garden by night experience, they host special tours. The one-hour tour, starting at 5:30 and 6:30 pm, will take you through the garden and show you how the plants and animals respond to nightfall. To complete your experience you can reserve a table at their winter restaurant, serving a delightful four-course dinner with a magical view over the illuminated garden. Dinner reservations include free entrance to the Hortus.

Entrance to Hortus by Night is €5,-  with an extra fee of €4,- if you want to take a tour. Tickets and more information are available on the Hortus website.
