Ice Skating in Amsterdam

Winter is upon us… And that means time for the #1 Dutch hobby: ice skating! In Amsterdam you can find three ice skating rinks to enjoy the joys of ice and snow.

Jaap Edenbaan

The Jaap Edenbaan is the oldest and most well-known ice skating rink of Amsterdam. With a 400-meter track you can really burn off that holiday weight if you want to or just have a lot of ice to enjoy yourself. Tired of skating? At cafe Jaap you can fuel yourself for another round with a nice hot chocolate!

ICE Amsterdam

ICE*Amsterdam presents a unique ice skating experience on Amsterdam’s Museumplein, with the Rijksmuseum as a phenomenal backdrop! It’s set to bring some seasonal sparkle back to Amsterdam. ICE*Amsterdam is the ideal place to enjoy some typical Dutch wintertime fun. Head along for a spot of skating or simply to watch the action and take in the great atmosphere. Brasserie Winters is located next to the rink: a charming wooden chalet offering a range of delicious Dutch and international dishes.

De Amsterdamse Winterparade

With an ice skating rink that is 700m2 this is not a small affair. This is the first time that the ice skating rink at the Amsterdamse Winterparade in the Amsterdam RAI is being set up, and with those measurements it is making a great entrance. If you bring your own skates you can enjoy it for free but there is also a possibility to rent some ice skates.
