Cornered in between the historic canal district, artistic neighbourhood Jordaan and the busy area around Central Station, this typical Italian store is unique in every way. It’s the only shop in town serving Tramezzino sandwiches: soft, crustless bread slices with real Italian toppings like bresaola, Parma ham, pastrami, tuna, salmon and smoked mackerel. You’re also sure not to find Il Tramezzino’s coffee – Café Vergano, Italy’s oldest and most famous coffee brand – anywhere else in Amsterdam. A real treat.
