Ku Kitchen and Bar opened in 2014. This is the place to be for excellent Japanese cuisine. A bright green backlit bar, exposed brick walls and industrial workshop stools create a suitable setting for a modern Japanese restaurant that draws inspiration from Tokyo’s trendiest boroughs, reinterpreted for Amsterdam’s stylish set. Ku Kitchen specializes in non-traditional Japanese dishes, but they also serve the classics.

Ku Kitchen’s menu features shareable dishes such as oysters with ponzu, sticks ‘n sushi and seafood bento – all made with sustainable seafood. Lovers of exclusive Japanese sakes and whiskies will feel right at home. The cocktails flirt with ingredients such as yuzu, lychee and matcha. The chefs, Maarten Polman, Yayoi Sugiyama, Dirk Schemerhorn, Robert Brown and Sanae Ogawa, don’t hold back on the exclusive and remarkable culinary Japanese dishes. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and laid-back. Ku Kitchen and Bar is the perfect hotspot to meet with friends and enjoy the Japanese delicacies.
