La Perla

La Perla is often mentioned by Amsterdam locals as the best place to get Italian pizza. Located in the Jordaan district you can find this small restaurant serving traditional pizze and delightful pasta’s. During lunch time it’s a spot for loaded sandwiches and at night a good glass of wine to go with your Italian dish.

The policy at La Perla is to work with regional and non-industrial products as much as possible. They only work with the finest ingredients, with weekly fresh deliveries straight from Italy. A good example is the use of genuine buffalo mozzarella, that they get from the south three times a week. You will taste the difference. The dish they are best known for is the classic Margherita, nevertheless they have delicious other options as well. A few favorites of the menu are the homemade ravioli and Calabrese di Spilinga Pizza with ‘nduja (spicy salami), oregano and spicy oil.

The large brick wood oven, essential for making quality pizza’s, is placed in the middle of the restaurant. Giving it a homey feeling. They provide a take away service but the best way to enjoy the pizza’s is straight from the oven!
