Founded in Copenhagen in 1973, this Danish menswear brand has made a name for its comfortable yet contemporary clothing, but recently launched its first new-style concept store in Amsterdam: a mix of fashion, design, and art. Here you’ll find the best from Matinique menswear, with a particular focus on business suits (with a free 24hour “tailored service”) and timeless basics, along with watches from Kapten & Son, accessories from Pig & Hen, pieces by Amsterdambased artist Fake, and vintage Scandinavian design furniture. The brainchild of Randy Koetsier, the store aims to “offer something different” in a time when more and more people are shopping online.
