On Saturday 3 November the 19th edition of one of Amsterdam’s most bespoken art events will take place: Museumnacht 2o18 (Museumnight). During this night, from 7:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m., 57 museums in Amsterdam will open their doors. Next to their permanent collections, museums will host special exhibitions, events and tours. It’s the perfect occasion to discover all the city has to offer when it comes to art.
World renown museums like Van Gogh and The Rijksmuseum will participate, as well as numerous lesser known locations that are well worth the visit. Discover world cultures at The Tropenmuseum, dive in the Dutch history at sea at the grand Scheepvaartmuseum or learn about outer space at the Artis Royal Zoo Planetarium. With all there is to experience during Museumnacht, it promises to be a night to remember!
Highlights of Museumnacht 2018
An important factor during this year’s Museumnacht is giving young artists a platform to showcase their art. All across the city over 250 events will take place. From dance workshops, poetry and talks, to dinners, networking drinks and silent disco. The full program is now up on the Museumnacht Amsterdam website and we’ll you updated with the events not to miss throughout the month!

With one ticket you get access to all participating museums and events. To top it off you’ll be able to visit one of the museums for free between 4 November and 31 December. Museumnacht is sold out every year, so make sure you get your tickets in advance.
