NYE 2018: New Year’s Parties in Amsterdam

In the Netherlands locals are allowed to buy fireworks and light them up themselves. Families and groups of friends save up money all throughout the year, only to give a spectacular show on the 31st of December. Prepare for bangs and sparks from 9 p.m. on, with an incredible spectacle lighting up the entire city sky at 00:00.  Make sure to find yourself a safe spot on the ground or head up to higher levels for an amazing view. With New Year’s the Dutch have the tradition to eat Oliebollen (doughnut balls) and Appelflappen (puff pastry with apple filling) with their glass of champagne. These sweet treats can be found at special Oliebollen stands and bakeries all throughout the city. A definite must try during your NYE in Amsterdam.

Restaurant Ma’dam is located on one of the highest floors of the A’Dam Tower and has a 360 view over Amsterdam. The evening will start with a delicious 4-course menu and a glass of champagne at 00.00 to celebrate the new year. The Roast Room NYE Dinner & Dance

Restaurant The Roast Room will host a Dinner & Dance New Years Eve Party on December 31st. From 6:00 p.m. on you’ll be welcome for a delicious dinner with a party starting from 10:00 p.m. Expect there to be live music and DJ sets, delicious bites, Oliebollen and lots of fireworks. If you already have plans for diner but want to join in on the party, you can also get a ticket just for that! Make sure to be fast though, tickets are available via their website.

BANG BANG! NYE 2019 at The Butcher Social Club

The Butcher Social Club is located on the ground floor of the Adam Tower and offers the perfect spot to celebrate New Year’s Eve, overlooking the water. Their walking dinner will be from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. with dishes like delicious burgers,  Crispy Squid and various desserts. After that the party starts and doesn’t stop until 5 in the morning! DJ legends like HouseQuake and Sander Kleinenberg will have you dancing the night away, well into the New Year.
