Puerto Pata Negra

Named for the prized jamon Iberico, which is made from the meat of black hoofed pigs that run free and feed on acorns, you will, of course, find this cured ham at this cheerfully tiled, graffiti-covered landmark, alongside own-import manchego cheese and pimientos de padron, and other tapas favourites, such as patatas bravas, tortillas and deep fried calamari. Wash it all down with a margarita cocktail, a pitcher of sangria or some Spanish beer or wine.

Puerto Pata Negra

Bringing authentic Spain to the Netherlands, that was the dream of Pedro Garcia. And this dream really came true with three authentic Spanish Tapas restaurants in Amsterdam, and all of them are named after this excellent Spanish ham Pata Negra.

Puerto Pata Negra is the youngest restaurant in Amsterdam. This installment opened its doors on March 2012 and has added the a new, harbor-like restaurant to the legacy of Pedro Garcia. Puerto, as the restaurant is commonly called, imports fresh and pure ingredients directly from Spain and creates original Spanish recipies for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Whatever you like, the extensive menu of Puerto will please you food-wise. Sit down, relax and choose from some of the most famous Spanish specialties such as Jamón Ibérico de Bellota, Raf tomatoes, Manchego cheese and Pimientos de Padrón among others and combine perfectly with Marqués de Riscal, Ribera del Duero or Iniesta family wines.

Puerto is located at the Amsterdam Oosterdok, a dock in the old Amsterdam harbor, this means that you can also arrive at the restaurant by boat and take a culinary break whilst enjoying the cozy terrace. Sip on a cocktail while you wait on your food and experience Puertp Pata Negra in the best way.
