Richard Koek in Eduard Planting Gallery

From the 5th of May until the 30th of June work from the Dutch-American photographer Richard Koek is on display at the Eduard Planting Gallery. With his New York New York series he shows the audience the complicated and challenges for one living in New York. With every picture you will enter a new narrative, one that can be interpreted differently by different viewers.

About Richard Koek

You might know Richard Koek’s work from his features in renowned titles such as The Independent Interview Magazine, The New York Review of Books, The New York Times and Stern. Besides that, some of his work is owned by the Dutch National Archives, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and The The Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam. The photographer started his career as a tax lawyer, but he decided to ditch that career for his life-long dream of becoming a photographer. And with success, he now lives  in New York and works for various publications, companies and non-profit organizations.
