Roootin Amsterdam

Roootin Amsterdam (yes with 3 O’s) is located in Amsterdam Oost (read our guide to this part of town right here), this restaurant is a family owned business run by a brother, two sisters and a mom. The family has Iranian roots and cooks up their traditional dishes with a twist and lots of love. From sweets such as their cheesecake to a “Dutch apple pie” that really isn’t that Dutch to their more savory lunch options such as the toast with mushrooms, all the food at Roootin Amsterdam is super tasty!

Here they serve food from 9 am to 5 pm (closed on Mondays), this makes it the perfect spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch or a late night snack! As said before their menu is full of Iranian dishes that all come with their own surprising twists. Another surprising detail is their beautiful interior, with lots of light, plants and an impressive mural.
