Sonic Acts Academy

Sonic Acts Academy wants to be a new artistic platform. Its experimental, freeing artists from institutional pressure and privileged classrooms. Over the course of three days, artists will present work that challenges the sterile dichotomy of theory versus practice. The Academy strives for an inclusive community full of people that resist or have no acces to the privileged spaces of academia. Because of that it is an interesting melting pot of artists and people from all walks of life who all have their own take on art and modern society.

As part of a pre-festival activity the Amsterdam Eye Film Museum shows to films: Spell Reel by Filipa César and Time Passes by Ane Hjort Guttu. Both of these films are followed by a Q&A of the artists giving visitors the chance to ask them about their inspiration and motives for creating these films.

Visit their websites for the performing artists, the schedule and to buy your tickets.
