Testino vs Van der Elsken

An interesting dialogue between two world-class photographers, brought together by the Annet Gelink Gallery. Fashion photographer Mario Testino (whose pictures have been published in Vogue, V Magazine and Vanity Fair) has the eye of a street photographer while Dutch icon Ed van der Elsken became famous as a street photographer with a love for fashion. Me and You captures the lust for life in never exhibited photographs taken by Testino and less well-known work by Van der Elsken. From a delicate series of photographs of masturbating men and women to Testino’s photos of a couple having sex in a park, it is revealing yet intimate.
