The Commons

The Commons is a new hotspot on the ever developing Wibautstraat in Amsterdam East. This new hot spot is taking the place of The Pool in the Student Hotel next to THS Collab and the Vondel Gym.

The Commons is everything but common

At The Commons it is all about shared dining, connecting people from all over the world through food. The interior is completely in movie theater style with snug booths, bright colors and a beautiful bar that is decorated with beautiful movie theater signage.

The Food

Their menu is based on commonly-loved small dishes and drinks inspired by food from all over the world. And they go beyond what we’ve already eaten at a dozen places, think a Scandinavian fish jar, Balkan scorched cauliflower or an Indian jalfrezi. But don’t worry you can also sit down and enjoy the all-American cheeseburger! Besides that they also serve up some mean cocktails, perfect for the start of your weekend in the city!
