Hannekes Boom

Discover Amsterdam

Hannekes Boom is a unique bar and terrace built from salvaged and recycled materials. The medium sized, earthy building has an extremely cosy feel with endearing little lights dangling from the ceiling. On hot days, the enormous terrace is packed with sunbathers at picnic tables having a beer or preparing a BBQ. In winter people head inside to curl-up in comfortable chairs in front of the open fire, enjoying the occasional live music and organic food.

Hannekes Boom

Hannekes Boom is a funky, cozy restaurant with an amazing water view across from NEMO the science museum. The restaurant’s design was inspired by it’s original purpose; one of the city’s entrances around 1650. The building is made up from recycled materials giving it its artsy and creative vibe. In summer their terrace is packed, people enjoy their great (snack)menu with an ice cold beer or a glass of wine.

Don’t forget to check out their agenda, they have awesome bands that play live music almost every Sunday!

When thinking of Hannekes Boom you might think that the restaurant is only a hot-spot in summer, but in winter Hannekes Boom is also the place to be. Curl up by the cozy fireplace and order a side of bitterballen to enjoy an afternoon with friends!
