Meatless District

Amsterdam’s Bilderdijkstraat is getting better by the minute, especially since Meatless District opened its vegan doors. Yes vegan, which means no dairy products nor meat or fish. But it doesn’t mean you can’t have a good meal in this fine-looking airy space. Opt for a breakfast with scrambled tofu with turmeric and lemon juice or have a toasted sandwich with banana, chocolate and peanut butter. Looking for a burger? No problem! They serve a great meatless burger with eggplant, French fries and vegan mayo.

The Meatless District is close to the Vondelpark and the Amsterdamse Hallen where you can find a food market, small boutiques, galleries and every once in a while an art market (Rembrandt Art Market Goes West).

Must Try at Meatless District

For breakfast they serve up some great French toast and during lunch you should try the Gravad Lax or the Quiche. For dinner they have some great burgers that even true carnivores can appreciate.
