Superette Café: Old-fashioned neighborhood pub with a twist
Another banger from the same owners of hotspots like Louie Louie and Maxwell. Located on Javaplein, Superette Café is a neighborhood café with the character and values of an old-fashioned cozy neighborhood pub, but with a modern twist.

Superette Café is the newest edition to the ever-growing and dinner spots scattered over the East part of town. A 21 century neighborhood café with the characteristics of an old-fashioned diner, as they call themselves. And that’s exactly what Superette is. A warm welcome by the friendly staff will make you feel right at home.
The owners spend a month in New York in search of not just any bagel; they wanted to find the perfect bagel. It’s no surprise that the majority of their menu is built around just that. A few favorites: the original bagel topped with scrambled eggs, bacon and baked mushrooms or old Dutch cheese with raisin-walnut-honey cream cheese on a cinnamon raisin bagel. But really, you should try them all.
At Night
Their dinner menu is a rare mix of cultures, offering Quinoa Watermelon salad, Vitello Tonato, Burgers and Chicken Saté to name a few dishes. Our favorite: the Asian rice noodle bowl with spicy gamba’s and mango. And for after work or late night drinks, they have a large snack menu with everything from Super Nacho’s to Charcuterie and Focaccia Pizza’s. A Craft Beer, Gin&Tonic or one of their Ginger Cocktails will go just fine with that.
