Kaagman & Kortekaas

In this cosy restaurant on Sint Nicolaasstraat, a side street of shopping boulevard Kalverstraat, you will find a piece of heart of Paris right here in Amsterdam. Chef Giel Kaagman, known for the famous seafood restaurant Vis aan de Schelde, prepares wild meats and oysters and many varying French dishes. His partner Bram Kortekaas takes care of the guests and serves glasses of good wine and tasty selections of cheese. Bon appetit!

Kaagman & Kortekaas in Amsterdam

The chefs like to challenge themselves in the kitchen, at the same time they want to make dishes that customers can understand, know and love. This combination makes for an amazing menu with dishes that are created with the best ingredients and lots of love. Giel Kaagman has a passion for the French-European kitchen and started working in a restaurant kitchen at the age of 12. In Enkhuizen he opened his first own restaurant and moved over to Belgium after that. In Amsterdam the locals know him from Vis aan de schelde and Toscanini, but he is most famous for his position as chef at Bordewijk.

His partner, Bram Kortekaas, is the man of wine, cheese and hospitality. He worked at Bordewijk and the ever so popular Rijsel as a professional host with extensive wine knowledge. With their strengths combined, Kaagmaan & Kortekaas is a restaurant must-visit for foodies!

Menu

The Kaagman & Kortekaas menu is inspired by the style of Paris’s contemporary bistros. It combines an informal and intimate atmosphere with a high quality and recognizable dishes. Kaagman & Kortekaas is a lot opoultry, homemade charcuterie and oysters at the bar. It carries a small menu with a weekly changing dishes.
