Palladio Amsterdam

Palladio Amsterdam is the Italian Restaurant in the Jordaan that has been on the Elandsgracht since 1987. The restaurant is famous in the city (and beyond!) because of their traditional Italian dishes. Their antipasti is amazing, their wines compliment all their dishes and their menu is full of great dishes that make it hard to choose.

The Story of Palladio Amsterdam

When the restaurant opened in 1987, Palladio was one of the very few Italian restaurants in the city. The owners weren’t savvy restaurant entrepreneurs, but they had a passion for food and with a little help they turned this passion into the famous restaurant it is today.

Not right away, the restaurant knew some hardships in their beginning years. But that all changed when famous (and feared!) culinary critic Johannes van Dam awarded the Restaurant with a 9 in Het Parool.

What to order at Palladio

Start your night at Palladio with some antipasti, our personal favorites are the Salmone leggermente affumicato con salsa di rapa or the Bruschette con pomodorini biologici su letto di ru, but you can also ask for a varied plate for two. After that order one of the traditional pastas such as the Ravioli di spinaci e ricotta al burro e salvia or the Fettuccine allo Stufato di Manzo Cotto. Leave a bit of room for the meat or fish that comes after the pasta course (we recommend the rib-eye or seabass) and end the evening with the best tiramisu in the city!
