De Pijp is one of the most vibrant and multicultural neighborhoods located a little outside of the city center. Sometimes this part of town is lovingly called the Latin Quarter. It is the perfect mix of tourists and locals staying and strolling through this part of town. There are many things to do in De Pijp, making it the perfect place to spend an entire day.
A Day in De Pijp
Go do the Sarphatipark and take a leisurely stroll, in spring or summer you can take a blanket with you to relax on the grass. Visit the Albert Cuyp Markt for a quick snack, we recommend a fresh “stroopwafel” which is a warm, thin syrup waffle, a true Dutch delicacy. And of course, the neighborhood is also home to one of the biggest attractions in the city: the Heineken experience. With many cafés, markets and shops to explore De Pijp is a neighborhood that is definitely worth a visit during your stay in the city.
