New brand at Van Ravenstein this season is the new young designer: J.W. Anderson, who origins in menswear, but started designing women’s collections in 2010. J.W. Anderson makes use of technical fabrics and experiments with new silhouettes and shapes. He won the British Fashion Award in 2012. In the spring/summer 2014 collection contrasting fabrics like silk and polyester and leather and pleather are used; combined with Japanese folding and origami influences. The skirt is made of folded pleather and combined with a knitted top that looks like a cardigan thrown on. Also new in store this summer are the designer brands Bernhard Willhelm and Sara Lanzi.
